Christ the King Catholic School was established in 1986 as a Catholic institution to teach Catholic doctrines and values and to provide a quality academic program to students in grades Kindergarten through eight.  It has become the largest Catholic elementary school in Arkansas with enrollment of approximately 700 students.  Christ the King Catholic School is a member of the National Catholic Educational Association and is accredited by the Arkansas Nonpublic School Accrediting Association, Inc.  The ministry of educational leadership is a shared ministry with clergy, laity, the board of education, faculty, staff and parents.  Christ the King Catholic School is a prayerful community…a growing community…an involved community…a blest community.

Preserving Catholic Education for the 21st Century

The best way to pass on the Catholic faith to young people is through Catholic school education.  Study after study documents both the effectiveness and quality of America's Catholic schools.  Not only are graduates well prepared for their further education and careers, but they are more likely, as adults, to be active leaders in their church and community as well as to educate their children in Catholic Schools.

Msgr. Hebert Endowment Fund

The Endowment Fund was established in 1994 as a non-profit organization, created to receive, administer, and invest donations and bequest for the benefit of Christ the King Catholic School.  In 1999 the fund was named the "Msgr. Hebert Endowment Fund" to thank and honor our pastor, Msgr. J. Gaston Hebert, for establishing the school.  Your gift, as well as the entire principal amount of the Endowment, will not be spent but will be invested to produce income that will support the school and its programs.

Goals of the Endowment Fund

  • Establish a perpetual fund that will assist Christ the King Catholic School.

  • Offer interested individuals and groups the opportunity to create a lifetime memorial in the form of a scholarship.

  • Work closely with Christ the King Catholic School Board and administration to secure, retain, and enhance the best possible faculty.

  • Constantly assess the changing and emerging need within the school and develop support strategies to respond to those needs.

Ultimate Beneficiaries

The immediate and ultimate beneficiaries of all Christ the King Catholic School Endowment activities will always be the children it serves.  However, donors to the endowment fund are secondary beneficiaries.  Through the endowment fund, persons with large hearts and small pocketbooks as well as those with greater means can have the assurance that their gifts will receive caring management with maximum effectiveness as part of a large, professionally managed fund.

The Impact of Your Gift

  • Your gift to support the Msgr. Hebert Endowment Fund will:

  • Help ensure the future financial stability needed to assist our school in the quest of excellence in education in a Catholic environment.

  • Assist in developing long-range plans for an orderly and stable future.

  • Be a lasting and perpetual tribute to your family or a loved one.

  • Assist the school in making tuition more affordable and investing in equitable salaries for our dedicated educators.

  • Maintain and improve school curriculum.

  • Most importantly, be a faith expression and evidence of your belief and commitment to Catholic education.

  • Benefit you with a tax deduction for making a charitable gift.

  • life insurance

  • wills

  • charitable trusts

  • business gifts

Your gift can be like an Eternal Flame - a light that never fails.  Your endowment could provide a scholarship or other student aid for a deserving student, continuing education and development for faculty and staff, salary supplements for qualified instructors, facility improvements or a number of other general educational needs.

We have naming opportunities available at various levels of giving.  You may wish for a classroom or other room to be in your name.  Many people like to make a gift in memory or in honor of a friend or loved one.  A list of these naming opportunities is available from the Principal of the School, the Pastor, or any Endowment Fund Trustee.

Passing on "The Gift"

We are all given but a few short years on God's earth.  It is our desire to prepare our school for students who haven't even set foot in Christ the King Catholic School.

How will you measure what difference you made?  Sharing your blessings through a generous gift to the Msgr. Hebert Endowment Fund will make this world just a little bit better because you made a difference while you were here.  You passed on the gift of Catholic education to those who followed.  Through your generosity you can support an institution that will continue to give to more than a single generation.

Msgr. J. Gaston Hebert, the founding pastor of Christ the King Catholic School said,  "The first goal of our school is to proclaim Jesus Christ as He is lived and taught by the Roman Catholic Church.  Our second goal is to offer a fine academic program.  We believe that these two goals complement one another working together to form the whole person."

I wholeheartedly agree with his sentiments.  I invite you to help us insure the future of Christ the King Catholic School through your generosity.

In the Lord,
Msgr. Francis I. Malone, J.C.L.
Pastor
