A
volunteer tutoring program founded in 1987 at CTK to help
disadvantaged youth in southeast Pulaski County. Children are
brought in and fed supper, followed by a brief speaker, then
tutoring. Volunteers meet with their student for one hour every
Tuesday evening during the school year. Needed: tutors, substitute
tutors, kitchen staff and speakers.

A
one-on-one ministry designed to help
build community among women of all ages and in all states of life.
One focus of this international movement is to support women and
their families during the joys, trials and sorrows of the
childbearing years. The ministry offers peer support, mentoring,
spiritual nourishment, educational and inspirational resources
drawn from the life experiences of fellow parishioners.

A
support group for women whose lives have been affected by cancer.
This group meets informally on the 1st Wednesday of each month at
5:30 p.m. in the CTK Ministries Building. Needed: Assistance for those needing
help with meals, transportation, etc.

evangelical, medical and construction mission to Trujillo,
Honduras, and surrounding areas. Collection of supplies is
year-round. This mission trip is usually in the s ummer. Needed:
Missionaries and materials.

An
international ecumenical ministry to prisons that brings the love
of Christ to all incarcerated individuals, their families and
those who work with them and to assist in the transition of
becoming a productive citizen. Individuals are needed to work on
the teams, pray, bake cookies and donate food or supplies. Needed:

Two
groups
of parishioners prepare and serve a meal once a month at
the Our House shelter downtown. Needed: Cooks and substitute
cooks.

community based event designed to put faith into action. CTK joins
with other area churches to work on projects benefiting the
community at large. Usually held in November. Needed: Volunteers,
materials and donations (food, children's coats, toys). A Blood
Drive is also held.

St. Joseph's Helpers serves
women as an emergency pregnancy peer counseling and referral
service. They minister to and serve pregnant women who find
themselves in a crisis situation. Volunteers are needed to answer
the phone, provide peer counseling, packaging items for moms and
babies. Donations of infant supplies and maternity clothes are
welcomed.
