Prayers         

   An Act of Contrition    

O My Savior,
I am truly sorry for having offended you
because you are infinitely good
and sin displeases you.

 I detest all the sins of my life
and I desire to atone for them.

Through the merits of your precious Blood,
wash me of all stain of sin,
so that entirely cleansed
I may worthily approach
the most holy Sacrament of the altar.

My God,
I am sorry for my sins with all my heart.
In choosing to do wrong
and failing to do good,

I have sinned against you
whom I should love above all things.

I firmly intend, with your help,
to do penance,
to sin no more,
and to avoid whatever leads me to sin.
Our Savior Jesus Christ
suffered and died for us.
In his name, my God, have mercy.
