arranging flowers, but so much more: maintaining the plants upkeep
of supplies, physically moving items, and special occasion
decorating.

Lectors
Once chosen, lectors
receive training to participate in the Mass. In addition to
reading announcements and liturgy, they also process in and recess
out with the priest.

Ministry
to the Sick
Selected Extraordinary
Ministers of the Eucharist assist the priests and deacons in
taking Communion to parishioners who are ill or home-bound. Also,
Christ the King Parish is responsible for providing visits to all
Catholics in nursing homes (within our parish boundaries), Baptist
Medical Center and Baptist Rehab Center.

The music ministry program at Christ the King is
always interested in vocalists for the choir and
instrumentalists wishing to participate in our liturgy.
Instrumentalists should
have some formal training
and be proficient on their instrument.

Usher
Ministry
Volunteers are needed
to help greet and assist in seating those attending Mass, gather the
offering and distribute bulletins following Mass. Ushers are scheduled on a
rotating basis at their preferred Mass time.
